After spending three years guiding in other reserves, I was excited to join the Tau Team in Madikwe Game Reserve, and I can honestly say I have not been dissappointed. We hosted The Tribe, a group of 54 guests who stayed with us for 4 nights, and then we a[.....]
Upon my arrival back to Madikwe, back from a two week break, I felt my heart beating to a new rhythm, the cold had retreated and the fresh smell of the shepherd tree blossoms filled my breaths. The first signs of spring have arrived in our arid piece of Af[.....]
As some may know, Madikwe's wilddog population was devastated by rabies earlier in the year, but from the ashes five dogs remained... Through this last winter period the last five dogs have managed to restore the sunshine, by gifting the park with nine bea[.....]
So why Wild Dogs? Madikwe game reserve is known to so many people as the best chance of seeing wild dogs. Even field guides flock here for a chance to work with the dogs, but why? So many people have actually never even heard of wild dogs, never mind why e[.....]
